A new home, a long-buried wartime secret – an adventure that will put the courage to the test

When eleven-year-old Kája moves with his parents from Prague to a village in the foothills, his whole world is turned upside down. He must adjust to a new school, unfamiliar classmates, and a completely different pace of life. To make matters worse, a group of local boys decides to teach the “city outsider” a lesson, with nearly tragic consequences.
Lonely and restless, Kája begins exploring the sprawling farmstead that is now his home. There, he discovers belongings once owned by a local partisan who fought a one-man campaign against the German occupiers. Deep in the nearby woods, hidden among the rocks, Kája even finds the partisan’s former hideout.
