Daniel Krásný

Daniel Krásný (*1991) was born and raised in Jindřichův Hradec but currently lives outside of Prague with his wife Anežka and son Daniel. He spent over twenty years guarding the hockey net and almost as long working in the editorial office of the gaming magazine SCORE. He has since taken on the role of creative director at the advertising agency Socialsharks. Daniel has a soft spot for dark novels and admires the work of Michel Faber, Trevanian and Stephen King. His debut book, Second Wind, combines his passion for horror and the world of advertising, which he knows so well.

This is a story about the preparation of an advertising campaign veiled in secrecy, set in the heart of Czech Canada.

Adolf Majer has just experienced ‘four fucked up months of his life.’ His wife, Instagram star @joanofpark, has left him for another man, and at the Craven advertising agency where he works as creative director, everything he touches falls apart. Adolf and his colleagues—director Schweik and graphic design intern Julie—accept an invitation to an unconventional tender at a hotel complex near the Třeboň ponds, pine forests and vast peat bogs. They have no idea that, apart from ideas, something much darker may surface during their stay.
